Presidential Decree No. 2442 on the approval of "Regulation of registration of food chain objects and food chain subjects, as well as objects that produce and process materials and products in contact with food products, approval of food chain objects, recognition of equivalence of approval systems of foreign countries, and keeping of the Food Safety Register" and "List of food chain facilities approved by assessing compliance with the requirements of technical normative legal acts in the field of food safety".

This Decree lays down special rules for the registration of food products and facilities; approval of food and feed products and products that come into contact with food by assessing compliance with the requirements of technical normative legal acts in the field of food safety, such as production methods, production capacity of the facility, pest control, waste management, based on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP); approval of facilities operating in foreign countries; recognition of the equivalence of the approval system for foreign food facilities; operation and procedures of the Register; re-registration, approval, termination and cancellation of registration and approval. The list of food chain facilities approved by assessing compliance with the requirements of technical normative legal acts in the field of food safety include: facilities engaged in the production, processing and circulation of food products of animal and plant origin and facilities engaged in the production of feed.
