Presidential Order No. 3660 on approval of the “State Program on the development of tea growing in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2018-2027”.

This Order sets out the approval of State Program on the development of tea growing in the Republic of Azerbaijan for the period of 2018-2027. The purpose of the State Program is to ensure the development of tea growing in order to meet the demand for dry tea in the country mainly through local products, to improve the supply of raw materials for tea processing enterprises, to develop the processing industry, to increase tea exports and to increase employment. The State Program lays down strategies for the implementation of institutional measures; improvement of the regulatory framework governing activities in the field of tea; advancement of scientific support and human resources in the field of tea growing; building capacity for tea processing; development of infrastructure in the field of tea; application of innovative technologies in the field of tea production and processing; promotion of local and foreign investments in tea production and processing; increasing the competitiveness of tea products, supporting and promoting exports; and promoting the development of cooperation in tea growing.
