Abstract
This Protocol sets out a framework for cooperation in the veterinary field between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries of the Republic of France. The Parties agree to cooperate in issues, such as: animal welfare, animal diseases, animal products, food hygiene and consumer protection. It is also stated in the Protocol that, the Contracting Parties will agree to exchange information, experience and training in production, processing and trading of animal products and to exchange information and research results on preventive arrangements against infectious animal diseases. The Contracting Parties will also agree to organize reciprocal visits of researchers, experts and working groups. The disputes may be solved through negotiation and consultation. This Protocol may be amended by new Protocols with the consent of the Contracting Parties. The Protocol is valid for an indefinite period and remains in force until one of the parties uses termination rights requiring six months written notice.
