Abstract
The scope of this Protocol shall be to ensure regional emergency intervention in case of accidents caused by oil pollution. The Parties have agreed to intervene individually or jointly in case of oil spills and oil pollution accidents and this purpose shall elaborate and validate Regional Plan for cooperation in the sphere oil pollution accidents. Each Party shall institute national early intervention system. The Parties shall exchange information related oil pollution accidents and undertaken arrangements.

This Protocol shall be effective from 90th day since the date of submittal to the depositary state of Convention of the documents related to its ratification by all the Caspian states.
