Resolution No. 18 of the Board of the Food Safety Agency on approving the Regulations of the Food Safety Department of the Office of the Food Safety Agency.

The Food Safety Department under the Food Safety Agency shall carry out activities in the following areas: (i) implementing state policy and regulation on food and feed safety at all stages of the food chain, including primary production, manufacturing, processing, circulation, utilization and destruction of food and feed products; (ii) representing the Agency in international organizations in the field of food safety; (iii) managing risks and crisis situations in the field of food safety, as well as providing information about risks; (iv) organizing the work of the Agency's regional divisions, coordinating and monitoring their activities in the field of food safety; (v) taking necessary measures to ensure the development of areas related to its activity; (vi) preparing sanitary norms and rules for food products in accordance with international requirements; and (vii) participating in ensuring the development of the food safety sector and in the formation of a unified state policy in the field of food safety.
