Resolution No. 18 of the Board of the Food Safety Agency on approving the Regulations of the Food Chain Control Department of the Office of the Food Safety Agency.

The Food Chain Control Department under the Food Safety Agency shall carry out activities in the following areas: (i) implementing state control measures in the field of food safety, veterinary and phytosanitary control at the relevant stages of the food chain, including primary production, production, processing, circulation (except for import and export operations), utilization and destruction of food and feed products and goods under state veterinary and phytosanitary control; (ii) conducting state control through regional divisions to ensure compliance with the legislation on the protection of the rights of consumers of food and feed products and goods under state veterinary and phytosanitary control; (iii) participating in determining the state policy on the protection of the rights of consumers of food and feed products; (iv) organizing the work of the Agency's regional divisions, coordinating and monitoring their activities in the field of food chain control; (v) participating in ensuring the development of the food safety sector and in the formation of a unified state policy in the field of food safety; and (vi) operating in other areas determined by legislation.
