Abstract
The Registry Department under the Food Safety Agency shall carry out activities in the following areas: (i) participating in the development of the food safety sector and the formulation of a unified state policy in the field of food safety, improving the regulatory legal framework and in determining priority areas; (ii) organizing the registration and approval of food chain facilities, facilities that manufacture and process materials and products in contact with food products in accordance with the procedure established by the Law on Food Safety, as well as the registration of products specified in Article 25.1 of that Law, and maintaining the Food Safety Register; (iii) conducting state registration of veterinary drugs, pesticides, biological preparations and agrochemicals; (iv) creating and managing a single database on all subjects included in the register; (v) organizing the work of the Agency's regional divisions, coordinating and monitoring their activities in the field of food chain control; (vi) taking measures improve the activities of food chain facilities; (vii) providing legal and technical support to food chain facilities in their areas of activity and raising their awareness on food safety; and (viii) operating in other areas determined by legislation.
