Abstract
This Resolution establishes maximum levels for certain contaminants in foodstuffs in accordance with the Codex Alimentarius International Food Standard CXS (Codex Stan) 193-1995. The main purpose of this Resolution is to ensure food safety, protection of human health, and protection of the rights of consumers. Foodstuffs which are specified in Annex 1 to this Resolution and containing a contaminant exceeding the maximum levels shall not be placed in the market. Unless otherwise specified in Annex 1, the maximum levels specified shall apply to the consumed parts of foodstuffs.
Entry into force notes
This Resolution come into force on 1 April 2021.
