Abstract
This Resolution determines maximum residue limits of pharmacologically active substances in foodstuffs of animal origin, with the aim of ensuring food safety. Foodstuffs of animal origin must comply with the requirements of this Resolution at the stages of primary production, production, processing, trade of food products, including their use in public catering and service sectors.
Annexes 1 and 2 to this Resolution list pharmacologically active substances of veterinary preparations that may be found in foodstuffs of animal origin. Pharmacologically active substances prohibited from being allowed in foodstuffs of animal origin are listed in Annex 3 to this Resolution.
This Resolution do not apply to: biologically active substances in immunobiological veterinary preparations intended for the development of active or passive immunity in animals or for the diagnosis of diseases; and substances or other foreign contaminants found in food products of animal origin but not used for their intended purpose.
Entry into force notes
This Resolution come into force on 1 April 2021.
