Abstract
This Standard has been set by the Technical Committee (TK 07) on Standardization of food. This standard is authentic translation of Codex Standard 310-2013 «CODEX standard for pomegranate». The initial inspection shall be in 2020 to determine the requirements of the standard to comply with the international standards, norms, rules and recommendations. This Standard applies to fruits of commercial varieties of pomegranates grown from Punica granatum L., of the Punicaceae family, to be supplied fresh to the consumer after preparation and packaging. Pomegranates for industrial processing are excluded. This Standard sets forth the provisions concerning quality, sizing, tolerances, presentation, marking or labeling, contaminants and hygiene of pomegranate.
