Abstract
This Standard has been set by the Technical Committee (TK 07) on Standardization of food. This standard is authentic translation of the CODEX standard for chocolate and chocolate products (CODEX Standard 87-1981, Rev. 1-2003). The initial inspection shall be in 2020 to determine the requirements of the standard to comply with the international standards, norms, rules and recommendations. This standard shall be applied to chocolate and listed chocolate products intended for human consumption. According to this Standard, chocolate and chocolate products shall be prepared from cocoa and cocoa materials with sugars and may contain sweeteners, milk products, flavoring substances and other food ingredients. This Standard sets forth food additives, hygiene, labeling and methods of analysis and sampling of chocolate and chocolate products.
