Abstract
The Agriculture and Rural Development Strategy for the Municipality of Gacko aims to enhance both the agricultural sector and rural areas, aligning with the strategic frameworks of Republika Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina. The text emphasizes a participatory approach involving various social groups in planning and implementing the Strategy, ensuring transparency and consensus-building. The Strategy adheres to EU guidelines for sustainable development, prioritizing economic, environmental, and social sustainability, while also remains adaptable to market changes. Key goals include increasing agricultural productivity and income sustainability, promoting competitiveness and innovation, and revitalizing rural areas. The text outlines a comprehensive implementation framework that engages local administration, businesses, and civil sectors, with a particular emphasis on monitoring and evaluating strategic goals and measures. The Strategy consists of 8 Sections as follow: Introduction (1); Strategic platform (2); Priorities and measures (3); Key strategic projects (4); Description of the internal and external consistency of the strategic document (5); Financial framework (6); Framework for implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluation of the strategic document (7); and Annexes to the strategic document (8).
