Decree on waste disposal in landfills.

This Decree prescribes the detail conditions and necessary criteria for determining the location, technical and technological conditions for the design, construction and operation of waste landfills, types of waste that cannot be disposed of at the landfill, criteria and procedures for accepting or not accepting, i.e., disposing of waste at the landfill, the method and procedures for operating and closing the landfill, the content and method of monitoring the operation of the landfill, as well as subsequent maintenance after the closure of the landfill. Disposing of waste at the landfill ensures the conditions for preventing and reducing harmful impacts on human health and the environment throughout the entire life cycle of the landfill, in particular pollution of surface and groundwater, soil and air, including deriving negative greenhouse effect.
