Abstract
This Law hereby regulates the trade and mandatory monitoring/control of active substances that are classified as plant protection agents (national Law, also adopted and published as regards the autonomous regions), in relation with the environmental protection principles (also for waste, chemical security and residues).
This Law also sets the: rules necessary for the correct registration of such substances and/or products containing such substances; permits for trade and use; control over the residues; data collection obligations for legal and physical persons dealing with such products; technical requirements for devices aimed for the application of such products; powers of the authorities responsible for the implementation and supervision of the rules here stipulated.
More specific issues regarding the production, good laboratory practice, prior approval procedure (PIC), additional classification rules, packaging and labelling of plant protection products will be defined by other documents and regulations.
This Law is divided into XVII Chapters and 67 articles, including offences and penalties (see Chapter XVI).
