Abstract
This Law regulates the recognition of new varieties of agricultural and forest cultivations, the approval of the introduction of the production of foreign varieties, recognition of varieties, and the protection of new and foreign varieties.
The rules here defined are aimed to: increase agricultural and forest economic production, or product quality, cost-effectiveness, rentable stability and productivity; permanently apply high quality varieties; encourage the creation of new varieties of agricultural and forest plants; protect the rights and interests of creators of varieties of agricultural and forest products; create full conditions for expanding cooperation with other countries in the field of plant breeding and traffic with quality varieties of agricultural and forest products; protect the interests of producers and consumers in the unique-unitary market on the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Law is divided into V Chapters and 67 articles, including offences and related penalties.
