Abstract
This Regulation establishes rules for the prevention of major accidents in plants, installations and/or warehouses that may cause major accidents due to the presence of hazardous substances above the prescribed quantities defined in the annexes to this Regulation, the obligations of the operator, the content of the Safety Status Report, the content of the Information on Safety Measures, the content of internal and external intervention plans and other issues important for the prevention of major accidents. This text also transposes the provisions of the Directive 2012/18/EU of the European Parliament and of the Council on the control of major-accident hazards involving dangerous substances, amending and subsequently repealing Council Directive 96/82/EC.
