Animals (Diseases) (Anthrax) Regulations, 1951.

These Regulations introduce measures so as to fight the spreading of anthrax.
The Regulations, among other things: require owners of animals suspected to be affected with anthrax (“suspected animals”) or veterinary surgeons to notify authorities of the (suspected) occurrence of the disease; require owners to isolate suspected animals; require inspectors to declare a place where a disease occurs to be an Infected Place, to investigate the occurrence of the disease and to issue directions to the owner; prohibits the removal of animals, dung, food, litter or utensils used in connection with any swine from an Infected Place; and prohibit the use of milk of suspected animals for food for human beings or animals. The Regulations also provide for vaccination of animals and place restrictions on the movement and grazing of suspected animals.
