Abstract
These Regulations prohibit various actions in respect of cows, heifers and bulls so as to prevent the spreading of the disease Epizootic Abortion affecting cattle.
The Regulations place restrictions on the sale or exposure of sale of cows or heifers that have calved prematurely. They also prohibit: the servicing of any cow or heifer that has calved prematurely, within six months immediately preceding such servicing, by any bull, unless before the service the owner of the bull is notified in advance of the premature calving; and grazing by any cow or heifer that has calved prematurely on any common or unenclosed land or badly fenced area. The Regulations prescribe penalties.
