Abstract
This Act makes provision for the constitution and registration of cooperative societies in Barbados and control of cooperative societies by the Government, provides with respect to their privileges and duties, their operation, their dissolution or division, amalgamation of societies, liability of members and the settlement of disputes between societies or its members.
Societies shall register with the Registrar of Co-operative Societies appointed under this Act. Disputes shall be resolved by the Registrar or by arbitrators to which the Registrar may refer the dispute.
