Abstract
This Act makes provision for the declaration by the Minister of standards and the observance of such standards and other requirements related to declared standards such as labelling. A standard may be obligatory or optional. No person shall produce, sell, import, export or use in a commodity for which an obligatory standard specification has been declared, unless the commodity conforms to the requirements of that obligatory standard specification. A standard specification shall be issued by the Barbados National Standards Institution.
