Health Services (Pathological Laboratories) Regulations 1976.

These Regulations provides for the procedures for the application of license to establish and operate a pathological laboratory; investigations carried out by the Pathological Laboratories Advisory Committee in respect of applications; duration, renewal, cancellation and suspension of licenses; requirements for the staff of the laboratory; and the duties and powers of the inspectors. These regulations do not apply to any procedure carried out by a medical practitioner, dental practitioner or veterinary surgeon for the purpose of the diagnosis of disease and treatment of his/her patients.
