Abstract
This Act allows the Chief Agricultural Officer, with the approval of the Minister responsible for agriculture, to order the carrying out of surveys, investigation or research for purposes of ascertaining whether irrigation is required for specific arable land, or experiment with plans, schemes or equipment for irrigation, or irrigate or cause to be irrigated any land, and for that purpose distribute water, control or operate waterworks or any other device.
