Abstract
The Ordinance shall apply to any vessel that is carrying oil in bulk or cargo (sect. 2). The Ordinance applies to territorial waters of Barbados. Section 3 prescribes a penalty for discharge of oil in navigable waters. It shall not be lawful to transfer oil from or to any vessel at night (sect. 4). There shall be kept a record for every vessel involved in transfer of oil (sect. 6). The Minister may appoint public officers for purposes of inspection under section 9. Section 10 makes provision for legal proceedings in relation with offences. (11 sections)
