This document provides guidance on the compliance standards for a number of pollutants that have the negative impacts on not just the nearshore marine environment but also on aquifers. The document highlights the indivdual pollutants and also provides the standard and the rationale for their inclusion on the list. Table 1 lists pollutants and ambient standards. Table 2 lays down domestic waste end of pipe standards. Table 3 sets out petroleum hydrocarbons end of pipe standards for class 1 waters.
