Bangladesh Lighthouse Act, 2020 (No. 6 of 2020 Law).

This Law provides for the establishment of the new Bangladesh Lighthouse Act. The Department of Shipping, with the approval of the Government, may, with the approval of the Government, entrust the supervision and management of the general lighthouses to the Department of Shipping. The Department of Maritime Trade may seek the assistance of the nearest port authority, navy or coast guard for the supervision and management of any general lighthouse. The Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, temporarily delegate the responsibility of security to the Defence Force of Bangladesh or the lighthouses near the establishment of the Bangladesh Coast Guard in case of emergency or war.
