Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute Act, 2018 (Act No. 53 of 2018).

This Act creates the Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute and repeals the Livestock Research Institute Ordinance, 1984 (Ordinance No. XXVIII of 1984). The functions of the Board shall be as follows, namely:- a) approve the administrative and financial affairs of the Institute; b) provide supervision and direction to the functions of the Institute; c) decide on policy matters of the Institute; d) formulate and approve necessary policies, action plans for the management of the Institute; e) take decisions on loans and approving proposals related thereto; f) approve proposals for financial assistance for higher education or research abroad; g) implement any Government directive or program consistent with this Act. The Institute will develop methods by conducting research on the nature and multi-uses of animal waste and its environmentally friendly management.
