Abstract
The Act refers to all natural and artificial waterways (rivers, canals etc.) and it empowers individuals, appointed by the Government, to their management and improvement by means of keeping them open and clear of debris and obstructions, of digging them deeper and wider, even of constructing new ones. The Government shall also expropriate land if necessary for the completion of the tasks related to the management and conservation of aforesaid waterways.
