Abstract
This Act confers power upon the Government to prohibit or regulate, by notification technically issued under the Customs Act, the importation in Bangladesh of any article that is likely to cause infection to any crop. "Crop" includes all agricultural and horticultural crops and all trees, bushes and plants. The Government may also make rules for the detention, inspection, disinfecting, destruction, etc. of any possibly harmful article or insect. (6 sections)
