Abstract
The Ordinance provides for the establishment of the East Pakistan Water Pollution Control Board (sect. 3). The Board will be responsible for the formulation of policies for the abatement of water pollution, including coastal waters (sect. 5). The Chief Engineer, Public Health Engineering, who is a member of the Board, shall be reponsible for implementation measures (sect. 6). The remaining provisions deal with enforcement, offences and legal proceedings (sects. 7-10) and regulation making powers of the provincial Government (sect. 11).
