Abstract
This Act, consisting of 26 sections, aims to ensure the desired and sustainable development of fish resources in the country, enacting in the preparation of provisions for the establishment of fish and shrimp hatchery and its proper management and related matters, for the production of quality-rich rice, post-larvae and pona. It establishes administrative and legal proceedings for satisfying the requirements for hatchery activity through registration for hatchery in the manner prescribed by rules and payment of fees. No person shall establish hatchery for commercial purposes without registration. In order to ensure that the provisions of this Act have been properly orchestrated, the Director-General or authorized officer, shall be able to visit any fishery hatchery and its premises at any time and inspect the equipment and chemical products, reproduction and fertility issues (reno, pona), machinery, etc.
