Abstract
This Ordinance prohibits placing of tubewells in any place without a licence granted by the Thana Parishad. The Thana Parishad shall conduct an inquiry before releasing the licence on the points listed in article 5 namely: soil condition, distance to other well, benefiting area, suitability of site, conditions to be attached, etc. The licence may be granted if the Thana Parishad is satisfied that the installation of a tubewell is beneficial, will not have an adverse effect upon the surrounding area and is otherwise feasible.
