Guidelines for Environmental Assessment of Water Management (Flood Control, Drainage and Irrigation) Projects.

These Guidelines for Environmental Assessment are an update of those issued for assessment of Flood Action Plan (FAP) projects by the Flood Plan Co-ordination Organisation (FPCO) in 1992 under the FAP 16 activities. The updated Guidelines are intended to be used in planning of FCD/I projects, and are issued by the Water Resources Planning Organisation (WARPO).
The Guidelines cover 'environmental assessment' (EA) - a process that covers two key activities at the planning level: Initial Environmental Examination (IEE) and Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
