Abstract
The Act regulates the importation of livestock liable to be affected by infectious or contagious diseases in the country (sect. 2). Livestock includes horses, camels, sheep, etc. The Act includes restrictions also for all items related to the infected livestock or that have been in contact with it such as fodder, excrements, harness, etc. (sect. 3). The Government may make rules for the detention, inspection, disinfection and destruction of imported livestock and related items under this Act.
