Abstract
The National Action Plan for Clean Cooking (2020–2030) has been developed with the vision to ensure clean cooking for all in Bangladesh, by the terminal year 2030. The Plan discusses the clean cooking sector in the global context, the related SDGs, clean cooking standards, and the clean cooking sector in Bangladesh. To achieve clean cooking in Bangladesh, the Plan proposes strategies for scaling up of the sector and lays down the targets and goals. All action plans are proposed under nine thematic areas which will be implemented in these three phases. The activities identified are: 1. Playing Leadership Role; 2. Building Enabling environment; 3. Awareness building and dissemination; 4. Reducing Household Air Pollution and keeping national commitment with regard to ICS; 5. Sustained Policy Support for LPG; 6. Consideration for Induction Cooking; 7. Reducing Leakages in Natural Gas for Cooking; 8. Supporting present trend of Fuel Stacking; and 9. Data Collection to Strengthen/Modify Other Activities. The investment and funding requirements are laid down and the monitoring and evaluation plan is provided.
