In exercise of the power conferred by section 6 of the East Bengal Protection and Conservation of Fish Act of 1950, the Governor empowers the following persons to arrest without warrant offenders breaching any rule under section 3 of the Act: 1) all Magistrates; 2) all police officers not below the rank of Sub-inspector or Officer-in-Charge; 3) all Forest Officers not below the rank of Deputy Ranger; (4) All Officers of the Directorate of Fisheries not below the rank of Fishery Overseer.
