Decree № 151 of 3 July 2020 determining the terms and conditions for payment of funds for maintaining the employment of employees after the state of emergency declared by a decision of the National Assembly of 13 March 2020 and the extraordinary epidemic situation , announced by Decision № 325 and extended by Decision № 378 of the Council of Ministers of 2020.

This Decree sets all necessary provisions aimed to guarantee the employment continuity and social/labor support as for the payment of funds for maintaining the employment of employees after the state of emergency declared by a decision of the National Assembly of 13 March 2020 and the extraordinary epidemic situation (Covid-19). Article 1 sets the list of eligible workers (also in relation to the provisions of the national Labor Code). The funds for preservation of employment shall amount to 60 per cent of the amount of the insurance income for May 2020 and of the due insurance contributions at the expense of the employer of each worker or employee under para. 1, provided by the order of art. 4, para. 1, item 1 of the Social Insurance Code. When the employer receives financing for the same expenses from the European Structural and Investment Funds or from the state budget, as compensation for services assigned by the state, the total amount of provided funds is up to 80 percent of the insurance income for May 2020 and the due insurance contributions at the expense of the employer.
