Decree No. 226 of 15 September 2008 adopting the Rules of organization of the Agricultural Academy.

This text determines the structure, organization, activity and number of person engaged by the Agricultural Academy. The Agricultural Academy is a research, application, service and support activity organization in the field of agriculture, animal husbandry and food industry. Structure and organization of agricultural academy management are defined in Chapter Two; structure and organization of activities are listed in Chapter Three; for property and financing issues see Chapter Four.
The Agricultural Academy carries out its activity within the framework of the state agricultural policy in accordance with the common agricultural policy of the European Union, with the aim to: organize and carry out scientific and applied research and related activities; provide scientific services to agriculture and food industry; carry out preparation of doctoral students and professional development of persons employed in the field of agriculture and food industry; set the procedure for approval of strategies for the implementation of agricultural policy on a national and regional scale; develop, in coordination with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Ministry of Education and Science, strategies for the development of science in the agricultural sector; cooperate with research, educational and other organizations in the country and abroad, as a member and participant in activities of other related international organizations; perform information and publishing activities by promoting the results of scientific research, as well as specialized consulting and design activities; collect, process and make available the result for their use in research in the field of agriculture and the food industry; perform other activities related to the scientific research.
