Abstract
This Law regulates the public relations related to the creation and maintenance of a public national electronic register of rose producers, rose processors, sites for production of products of containing rose essential oils, and of plantations of oil-bearing rose.
This text also determines the rules for the identification and cultivation of the oil-bearing rose plantations; the procedure of purchase of flowers for oil production purposes; the production and labelling of related products containing such oil or essential colors; the requirements for sites for production of products and processing; the scientific service in the field of rose production, the status and the functions of the Advisory Council on the oil-bearing rose; the control over the activity of rose producers, rose processors and over sites for production of related products.
The purpose of the Law is the protection of the oil-bearing rose, traditionally grown on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. The Minister of Agriculture, Food and Forestry shall conduct the state policy on the identification and cultivation of the oil-bearing rose plantations and on the support for rose production sector.

This Law entered into force on the day of its publication, except for article 8 (paragraph 1) that shall enter into force on 1 January 2022.
