Abstract
This Act aims at protecting the quality of atmospheric air. As indicated in article 2, this Act regulates: the specification of indices and standards of the quality of atmospheric air, the limitation of emissions and the rights and obligations of the state and municipal bodies, corporate bodies and physical persons, as regards the control and maintenance of the quality of the atmospheric air. The Act consists of 47 articles and is divided into six Chapters. Chapter 1 contains general provisions, Chapter 2 is dedicated to indexes and standards of the quality of the atmospheric air, Chapter 3 deals with emission limits, in particular with emission from immobile sources and emissions from mobile sources; Chapter 4 concerns design, construction and exploitation of the sites with sources of emissions; Chapter 5 is dedicated to the administration of the Act and its enforcement and Chapter 6 provides for offences and penalties.
