Abstract
This Law provides for the organization and management of the tourist industry in Bulgaria and provides for the administration, licensing and control of tourism facilities and activities.
The Law stipulates that the Minister of Economy shall implement the state policy in tourism as specified in the text and provides for the establishment of a National Council of Tourism, a Executive Agency for national tourist advertising and information and tourist associations registered as non-profit corporate bodies.
The Law further provides for: financial promotion of the development of tourism; licence conditions and order of carrying out tourist activities; penalties; etc.

Entry into force notes
This Law enters into force on 1 October 2002 with the exception of the provisions of the articles specified in paragraph 6 of the text, which enter into force on 1 January 2003.
Notes
This Law repeals the Law for Tourism 1998.
