Abstract
This Bulgarian National Youth Strategy for the planned period from the year 2021 until the year 2030 sets the following visions: Capable, engaged and empowered young people, ready to develop their full potential and consciously contribute to the development of the Republic of Bulgaria in the context of the European family and the global world. Strategic priorities that are determined in this text are listed as follows: Priority 1: Promotion of informal learning; Priority 2: Promoting employment and support for young people not in education, employment or training (NEETs); Priority 3: Promoting the engagement, participation and empowerment of young people; Priority 4: Development and strengthening of youth work on a national scale; Priority 5: Connectivity, tolerance and European belonging; Priority 6: Promotion of a healthy and nature-saving lifestyle; Priority 7: Promotion of culture and creativity among young people.
In view of the multi-sectoral approach of youth policies and the need to consult on the specific thematic areas with experts in the departments, the Ministry of Education and Culture formed an Interdepartmental Working Group with representatives of all ministries for the development of operational goals and measures for the implementation of the National Youth Strategy 2021-2030. The European Youth Goals for the period 2019-2027, included in the European Union Youth Strategy, are also taken into account.
