Abstract
This Ordinance sets various noise pollution related indicators and limits in terms of technical rules and values, methods for assessing the values of environmental noise indicators, all aimed at limiting the noise harmful effects on environment and population.
As here defined, environmental noise indicators are physical quantities that determine the limits and degree of discomfort of citizens exposed to noise, depending on the nature of the noise, the time of the day, the purpose of the accommodation, the nature of areas, and zones within and outside urbanized territories.
The provisions of this text are also used for the preparation and updating of strategic noise maps of the Republic of Bulgaria.
