Abstract
This Regulation prescribes the requirements for cattle and pigs in terms of their transport (between the Republic of Bulgaria and other Member States of the European Union), including the requirements for determining the health status of regions and sites of origin of such animals, requirements applicable to trade in bovine animals and pigs, the requirements for the introduction of the monitoring/surveillance programme, the additional guarantees to be met by cattle and pigs during the transport.
This Regulation further determines which European Union Directives and Regulations will be adopted and implemented as regards the above mentioned issues (see article 3).
