Abstract
This Regulation sets the minimum requirements and specific rules for the collection of herbs and/or genetic material deriving from medicinal plants, including the hygienic collection requirements for environmentally friendly and sustainable use such natural resources on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
The major purpose of this Regulation is to offer several effective methods for the protection of localities/nature sites with presence of certified medicinal plants; to ensure a high general quality of collected herbs (not to collect/handle if contaminated with heavy metals, pesticides, other chemical or mineral substances, animal or municipal waste); to avoid the impact of natural and/or man-made factors; to avoid the collection of such herbs if not performed in appropriate atmospheric conditions or in a right annual period; to ensure the respect of additional rules and requirements for the protection of habitats.
