Regulation No. 4 of 8.07.2003 on the conditions and procedure for issuing permits for introducing non-native or reintroduction of native animal and plant species into nature.

This Regulation determines several terms and necessary procedure for the issuance of permits for the introduction of non-native wildlife species (live animals, also import of such animals; further for breeding purposes) and the reintroduction of local wildlife animal and plant species (also valid for extinct species, hunting species), as regards the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Main purpose of this text is to assure a controlled and environmentally safe process of introduction and reintroduction of non-native/native wild animals and plant species, in order to maintain the biological diversity and originality of the national wild life and nature.
