Abstract
This Regulation sets the correct order and mode of operation of the Bulgarian noise monitoring system in urban areas.
The noise monitoring system is organized at national and regional level, and bodies in charge with such issues are the Bulgarian Regional inspectorate of environment and water, and the head of the National center for public health protection.
This Regulation further determines the necessary requirements for conducting personal or private monitoring and consequential delivery of information and measurements from industrial sources of environmental noise (self-conducted monitoring and data delivery on noise pollution).
The main purpose of theses rules is to assess the noise load on the basis of noise values, also by conducting the following activities: systematic observations to determine the state of the noise load; processing, analyzing and storing information on the state of the noise load; ensuring credibility of data from strategic noise maps and providing information to develop noise abatement action plans; providing information when assessing the harmful effects of noise on population health; information exchange.
