Abstract
This Regulation determines the conditions, the procedure and the manner for organizing and conducting protection of forest territories from diseases, pests and other damages, as regards the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and its forests and forest land areas.
Main tasks for the protection of forest territories are: identification of the occurrence and spread of diseases, pests and other damage, monitoring and evaluation of their impact on the health status of the woody vegetation; making forecasts for the occurrence and development of diseases, pests and other damage; implementation of methods and means of forest protection and establishment of organization for control and control of diseases, pests and other damages; reporting and analysis of the implemented forest protection measures; and offering solutions to forest protection and environmental problems related to the protection of forest areas.
Rules on monitoring, signaling, monitoring, lesopathological inspection and analysis of materials are laid down in Chapter Two. Forest protection methods are defined in Chapter Four.
The Annex is also part of this publication (Annexes 1-20; containing technical and procedural sheets and indication lists).
