Abstract
This Regulation determines the activity, structure, organization of work and sets out the official number of the Regional Directorates of Agriculture of the Republic of Bulgaria.
Regional Directorates of Agriculture shall be specialized territorial administrations to the Minister of Agriculture and Food. Regional Directorates of Agriculture are budget-supported legal entities with headquarters in the respective regional cities, that shall act as secondary authorizing officers with the Minister of Agriculture and Food.
Regional Directorates of Agriculture shall assist the Minister for Agriculture and Food in the implementation of State policy in the field of agriculture and forestry and in the application of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union.
All programmed activities shall be performed on the basis of the principles of legality, openness, accessibility, efficiency, responsibility and accountability. The Inspectorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food shall exercise all control of activities of the Regional Directorates of Agriculture.
The Annex is also part of this publication (containing the list with total number of regional directorates of agriculture, including all other integrated municipal agricultural services).
