Regulation on structure and activities of the Directorate for national parks.

This Regulation hereby govern the functional rules, effective duties and internal organizational structure of the Directorate for national parks of the Republic of Bulgaria, an state administrative body part of the Ministry of environment and water, aimed to perform various tasks relevant to the management and protection of Bulgarian based nature sites that are already classified as national parks.
These rules are principally stipulated to ensure the implementation of the state policy and relevant direct rules and principles as regards the conservation and maintenance of the diversity of ecosystems and protection of the ecosystem wildlife, conservation and maintenance of biodiversity, and to provide opportunities for the development of scientific, educational and other recreational activities on the territory of national protected areas.
