Regulation on the trading of fruit planting material and fruit plants intended for fruit production on the markets of the European Union.

This Regulation prescribes the following issues: provisions regarding the trade of fruit planting material and fruit plants intended for fruit production on the territory if the European Union markets; control over the fruit planting material and fruit plants (including certification and control over the applied standards); specific requirements for spatial isolation, authenticity, varietal purity, quality and health of fruit material; additional requirements for manufacturers and retailers of the above mentioned materials; specific conditions for imports of fruit material from foreign (non-member states of the EU).
This Regulation further determines which European Union Directives and Regulations will be adopted and implemented as regards the above mentioned issues (see article 1, paragraph 4).
The Annex is an integral part of this Regulation.
